The Lone Wolf Aria guitar instrumental video was shot over the course of 3 days in the Black Rock Desert in Northern Nevada. The non-desert shots were filmed in and around Gerlach Nevada.
We took a 3 man crew from Digiman Studios out of Reno and stayed just outside the desert. We lost the first day of shooting in the desert due to the crazy amount of strong winds but made up for it over the following days.
The Hamora record spans a lifetime of ideas forged into something tangible and realized over the course of a meticulous three year recording process. It was originally released in 2016 under the title “Legacy of the Haunted”, the title track of the record which represents the pursuit of musical creation to an unhealthy and obsessive degree.
The record features a number quotes and audio clips from prominent figures such as Salvador Dali, Robert Oppenheimer and Stephen Hawking.
The majority of the recording took place in Reno Nevada with the live drums and drum production taking place in Boston Massachusetts. Drum tracks were performed by Drummer Mark Castillo and produced by Rick Merriam.
The original Automated Ruin EP was released in 2008 having been recorded in Plymouth Massachusetts between 2003-2006 in a small house/converted studio.
The 2018 release is the complete album of fully reworked songs from that time period. Great care was taken going back into the now almost 20 year old projects to rework, remix and remaster the original ideas and recordings.
‘Rain When I Die’ is an electronic/industrial cover of the original Alice in Chains song. Recorded and updated as a companion to the 2018 reissue of the Automated Ruin album and released as a single.
